Hello!

My name is Suzanne Allen. I am a retired US Air Force veteran, Indigenous member of the Sac and Fox Nation of Oklahoma, USA and a new empty nester.

I am also an enthusiast of all things related to cake decorating/sugar art, baking, arts & crafts, teaching, learning and writing

I began this journey into blogging more than 5 years ago as a way to deal with then newly diagnosed depression and anxiety. I had finally started facing it and sought counseling.

The original content was only about cake decorating, sugar art and competing. Through the years it has taken on different look with more writing about life in general.

Determination sprinkled with a little creativity has allowed me to share with others not only my thoughts as I go through this recovery process but to also share my love for being creative.  It truly is soothing to the soul.
