What’s your favorite game (card, board, video, etc.)? Why?

Hmm, I guess I started to respond this prompt but never actually finished.
I haven’t written anything in a while.
My favorite games have always been Scrabble and Monopoly. I believe I wrote about Monopoly before and the competitiveness of my relatives. This is why we do not play it anymore, too many hurt feelings.
My family as a whole now plays Catan which requires strategy, I’m terrible at it but it is fun to play. Strategy is also why I do not play Chess. My kids play this and tried teaching me but it is definitely not my cup of tea.
The second game is Scrabble. This too no one will play with me because I read and write a lot. I’m constantly looking up new words. It is a habit that started as a kid, I even competed in a few spelling bees. I would get knocked out of the competition before the final round but it just pushed me to learn more.
I like the learning aspect of Scrabble and discovering new words. Most people that I have encountered find this game boring.
I tried playing it online but found that other competitors were not playing to play the game but instead were trying to find someone to chat. I was never interested and those games would never finish. I gave up on them.
The only online word game I play now is Wordle. I enjoy trying to figure it out in the least amount of words. My daughter was playing with me for a while but she got busy with work and school.
I am still searching for someone who enjoys the game of Scrabble too but it may be a while. Others have suggested finding a Scrabble club but where I live, there isn’t much around here. The only club listed hasn’t posted on their blog since 2013.
I might search out a club once we move next year. Maybe that part of the country will have more to offer.
Until then I will continue looking up new words, continue writing, and keep learning something new.
Have a fabulous weekend!
Peace, love, happiness, and good vibes, always!
