If you were going to open up a shop, what would you sell?

I have always dreamt of opening up a storefront.
Even though these days most conduct online business or e-commerce, I think traditional brick and mortar businesses are still the best.
It does depend on what you are trying to sell.
I had several businesses in mind but they are all related to creative efforts. These would be hobby related items.
The hard part is deciding on what craft would it be.
The first notion was about cake decorating and sugar art supplies. I would sell the products that are not readily available in the local arts and crafts stores or the big box stores. They typically sell the same brands just at varying prices.
I would sell those items related to specific types of cake decorating needs. The following is an example.
Sugar flowers require cutters, mold, and formers. Texture and impression mats. Then there are different brands of fondant, gum paste, coloring, or ingredients to make your own. There is also the books, magazines, and videos to learn these techniques. I would also offer in person lessons to those that want to learn more about this edible art.
Another shop idea would be related to beadwork and jewelry making.
This art form requires beads, findings, threads, needles, and backing materials.
It is not just about the seed beads in various sizes but the material it’s made from, the price point of those materials, and how it is sold by weight.
It also about the cabochons, edgings, leathers, quills, and metal work. The many details that can be added to a piece.
The many parts to a pair of earrings, a medallion, necklaces, bracelets, appliqués, or other beaded wares.
Then there is also books, magazines, patterns, and beading techniques or styles. So many things that can be learned as a hobbyist or as a reseller.
These are some of the ideas that have been sitting on the back burner for years now.
The only thing holding me back is the courage to take that chance.
The willingness to take risks.
So many beautiful things to create.
Thank you for stopping by.
Have a wonderful week!
Peace, love, happiness, and creative vibes to you!
