I have a bad habit, sugar.
It is the one bad habit I still struggle with and hard to quit.
I tried two summers ago to quit cold turkey and it was the worst experience I ever had.
The withdrawals were much worse than when I quit smoking cold turkey.
I had such a severe headache, it was hard to concentrate. It got so bad that my son ended up buying these fruit popsicles and told me to have a little sugar. The headache immediately stopped.
I was miserable but it helped me cut back on how much sugar I used. I also was able to get rid of white processed sugar and switch over to a turbinado
Now, I don’t use much sugar and use a substitute for my morning coffee.
I haven’t completely given it up.
I still like hard candies every once and a while and chocolate is still my favorite.
I learned through that experience that small changes and cutting down slowly is the best way.
